AI-native safety engineering for automotive hardware.

sev10 delivers DFMEAs, FMEAs and HARAs faster and for less than a traditional consultancy. Or we build the AI tooling straight into your engineering stack.

Everyone’s been told to use AI. Using it well is hard.

Getting real work out of AI today takes models, data pipelines, integrations and evaluation. That’s a software engineering job. You design hardware, and that’s where your time should go.

Hire a consultancy

You get a slide deck about AI strategy. Your DFMEA is still due at the next design review.

Hire an AI engineer

You add a salary, a six-month ramp and another project to manage. The analysis backlog doesn’t move.

Hire sev10

You get the finished DFMEA, faster and for less. Or you get the software, running inside your tools.

Plugs into the tools you already use.

sev10’s AI reads your design data where it lives: parts and revisions, schematics, 3D models and requirements. It drafts the analysis, and an engineer reviews every line before it reaches you.

Services

We do the analysis

  • Design FMEA to AIAG-VDA
  • System and process FMEA
  • Hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA) to ISO 26262
  • Fixed price, agreed up front
Scope an analysis

We build the software

Your own AI safety tooling.

We build and deploy the same AI analysis engine inside your company, connected to your PLM, eCAD and requirements tools and shaped around your templates and review process.

  • Connected to your engineering systems

Frank Walsh reworking a circuit board under a stereo microscope

Built by a hardware engineer.

sev10 was founded by Frank Walsh, who designed and validated production electronics for Tesla’s low-voltage vehicle controllers from 2021 to 2025. The board at the top of this page is modeled on one of them. Frank is now a Systems Integration EE at Apple.

  • Model Y front body controllerIn production
  • Tesla’s first 48 V USB-C hubIn production
  • 650 W coupled-inductor buck converterValidated
  • Fuse-sizing and protection design toolsUsed team-wide
  • Tesla Semi low-voltage distributionIn production

Send us the subsystem.

Tell us what it is, which analysis you need and when your review is. We’ll come back with a scope and a fixed price.
